Scorpions Exterminator for Oklahoma

While Oklahoma has between 3 and 5 varieties of scorpions, the most common variety is the Striped Bark Scorpion.  Striped Bark Scorpions are nocturnal creatures that tend to hide out during the day and make their appearance at night.  In the wild they like to hide under rocks, in vegetation, and in old structures.  They are commonly seen in homes as well, needing only a space that is 1/16th of an inch to be able to gain entry. 

Scorpions eat small insects like spiders, flies and insects.  They can also be cannibalistic devouring other scorpions in a pinch.

Striped Bark Scorpions are known to be venomous but are not likely deadly except to infants, the elderly, or the immune compromised. Their sting will likely be painful and cause swelling at the site.  In extreme cases of hypersensitivity shortness of breath, chest tightness, abdominal cramping, urticaria, nausea and vomiting, light headedness, flushing, and angioedema can be present.  Medical attention should be sought immediately.
